Our food pantry brings hope to those who need it most by giving out non-perishables and by sharing Christ's words of hope and love through evangelistic tracks to those who are open to receive them. It is open on Tuesdays 3-5PM and currently serving more than 300 families every year.
Just a reminder that in the case of inclement weather, the status of Pantry of Hope is lined with the Melrose Public Schools. Please check school cancellation on Channel 4 or boston.cbslocal.com.
The Board of Christian Outreach of the First Baptist Church in Melrose would like to give a big thank you to Shaw’s Supermarket and its many patrons who shopped there recently for the tremendous donation of food items given to the Pantry of Hope just before Christmas. We are very grateful for this generous gift which will provide meals for many local families who depend on us to help make ends meet. We also receive donations from The Greater Boston Food Bank as well as many churches, civic organizations, schools, and individuals throughout the community. Pictured below giving a big thumbs up to Shaw’s Supermarket are Jessie Freda, director of The Pantry of Hope, and Peter Tringali, a volunteer worker.
