Outreach Ministries

Our church offers numerous opportunities for outreach. We believe in ministering to the whole family, from the youngest one to the oldest. That is why our outreach ministreis cover all ages.

Our children and youth

Our children and youth are involved in many activities and programs throughout the year. We offer Rally Day, the Children's Fall Festival, Operation Christmas Child with the Shoe Drive Box, the Christmas Pageant, the Living Nativity on our church's lawn, the Good Friday program, the Easter Pageant and Easter Program, Children's Sunday and Vacation Bible School. These are all programs that reach out to visitors and friends in the community and beyond. These are all ministries that tell of God's love for us through his Son Jesus Christ both through word and action.

Women's Ministries

Women's ministries at our church provide the chance for many women to be involved in life transforming outreach. Some of the ministres are: preparing Church World Service kits, prepaid, for use all over the world; putting together "thinking of you" packages in February and sending them to college students and servicemen; participating in Church Women United activities; preparing Easter baskets for our shut-ins; raising money for blankets for Church World Service; corresponding with ABC missionaries abroad and at home, and much more.

Feed my Sheep

Our church supports those who are in need by cooking dinners and serving dinners through Bread of Life, a ministry of love and compassion which takes place in Malden. We are reminded of Jesus's words: "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thursty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in . . . " (Matthew 25:25).

Pantry of Hope

Our food pantry brings hope to those who need it most by giving out non-perishables and by sharing Christ's words of hope and love through evangelistic tracks to those who are open to recieve them.

Refugee Immigration Ministry

We are partners with RIM (Refugee Immigration Ministry) and we are part of the Malden-Melrose cluster. This is a ministry that reaches out to those who do not have anything, to those who are strangers in a foreign land, to those whose lives would be in danger if they were to return to their countries of origin.

Respond

During the Christmas season we collect health kits for women who have been victims of domestic violence. We also collect toys for their children. All these goods are delivered to Respond, Inc. which has been working to end domestic violence since 1974. This last year we delivered more than 150 kits. The gifts are then distributed among women in different shelters of the Boston area.

Responding to Urgent Needs

Several weeks ago an urgent call was shared with out church to put together "Gifts of the Heart" health kits to help survivors of the tsunami tragedy in Southwest Asia. This call came from the American Baptist churches in collaboration with Church World Service. We recieved many kits and they will be sent out in the following days. God calls us to be attentive to the unexpected needs that raise at home and around the world. We glorify him by attending to these needs

Church of the Resurrection

Our sister church in Moscow has a special place in our hearts. We support its mission and ministry through our outreach Mission Budget.
